Jason Porat “Bossa”
Having developed a love for food and cooking at a young age Jason has returned after twenty years to his hometown of Saskatoon to oversee Saboroso and bring his long standing passion for food and wine home. Jason brings an eclectic background which has been well rounded with an education in arts and science as well as public affairs and management. However throughout his academic pursuits he has maintained a passion for restaurants leading to a career as an area manager with profile wine group, obtaining a wine education with WSET, as well as working with restaurants across the country and as a consultant developing wine lists. Jason also sits on a committee with the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council helping to develop standards for the service industry on a national level.
Hanosh Dubash “Chefe”
Originally from India, Chef Hanosh Dubash was always passionate about food as a child. His passion led him to travel around the world and explore different ethnic cuisines and cultures. Having lived in Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa,Hanosh went on to complete his Culinary Diploma at Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa. Hanosh worked under an influential leader, Executive Chef Ian Thomson, who helped shape his style and depth of knowledge. In May 2011, Hanosh moved to ” Sunny Saskatoon ” where he is now the Executive Chef at “Saboroso Brazilian Steakhouse”. Hanosh’s passion is to develop younger chefs to discover their own talents in the same way that he was encouraged. Chef Hanosh Dubash along with GM Jason Porat plan to bring a new flare to Saskatoon.
Ryan Michalak “Açougueiro”
Born and brought up in a small French town just on the outskirts of Ottawa. Here he learned how to have lots of fun mastering the Art of Butchery, including game and fowl. He’s been Cooking, Curing, and Smoking meats ever since. Ryan moved to Saskatoon in July 2011 to be part of the Unique Saboroso Experience`. He loves roasting whole animals up at the cabin as well as enjoying a good clean living. He’s no shy-guy, so stop by and say hi!
